September/October 2010There are still a few places available for the first in a new series of bi-monthly networking events taking place in Bolton. The first breakfast event will take place on Wednesday 22nd September at the Ramada Hotel on Manchester Road and both members and non-members are welcome to attend to network over breakfast. Starting at 7.15am, the event will include a presentation on ‘Super Success in Social Media' provided by Carl Silverstone from Bolton-based Goo-Net Professional Internet Services. Tune into Bolton FM on 7th October for the lunchtime business slot with Kevin Williams where Dr. Brian Sloan, Head of Business and Economic Policy will provide a Bolton perspective on the Quarterly Economic Survey results hot off the press. Also listen to Brian's reaction to the interest rate decision which will be made on the same day. The Chamber's local council in Bolton is next due to meet on 21st October. In addition to the usual discussion and debate on the current issues which are affecting local businesses, there will be presentations from the newly appointed Chief Executive, Clive Memmott on his vision for the future and Chris Fletcher Deputy Chief Executive will provide an update on Local Enterprise Partnerships. The latest member to join this expanding and active group of Bolton business representatives is Glenn Wilkinson from Carbon Saver Limited.
