Careers Information

Careers Solutions provides appropriate and accessible information resources to enable all young people to make a successful transition to settled employment and adult life. We provide advice on sourcing, establishing and maintaining information resources appropriate to the needs of young people.

What does Careers Information offer?

Our Careers Information offer includes:-

Consultancy

The aim of our consultancy visits is to evaluate and develop school careers resource areas. We can provide practical advice and guidance on how to establish and maintain a set of resources, both paper-based and electronic. Advice is available on the type and range of different materials, so that resource(s) which meet your needs can be quickly found.

Training For Staff

We deliver an Essential Guide to Careers Information, a half day session looking at the resources available to support CEIAG and how to access them. Other training is delivered on careers software programs such as Kudos, and on how to manage and organise the provision of careers information.

For Pupils

A modular programme assessing student’s ability to maintain information resources can be delivered via our YPIC (Young People’s Informing Connexions) Resource Pack. We are also able to train students on the use of careers software programs.

Access to Information

We provide an agency service that facilitates access to careers software and other licenced subscriptions at a discount. Popular programs include Adult Directions, Careerscape, JED, e-CLIPS and Kudos

Resource Library

Our Resource library provides a loan service for key careers education and related resources, whilst we can produce library signage and labels to promote your information resources
