College’s annual Summer Fun Day as hundreds passed through the Middleton gates.

With the college’s vast array of exotic animals open to the public, outdoor BBQs and even a dog show being held, people from all over Greater Manchester deemed it tempting enough an offer to venture into the grey outdoors.

The family based festival also featured pop-culture performances by Performing Arts students, a children’s sensory play barn, nail treatments performed by Health & Beauty students, Horticulture how-tos and plant sales plus a cross bar challenge competition held by Rochdale Hornets.

Hopwood Hall College’s Assistant Principal, Julia Heap, declared her pride in seeing the college’s third consecutive event go off without a hitch:

“We’ve had some really great feedback from many of the people who visited our third annual Summer Fun Day, I’m really proud of all our staff and students who were involved; they did a fabulous job.

“It’s fantastic for us to be able to open up our Middleton campus to the public and show off all our hard work and top facilities. I enjoy that people always leave pleasantly surprised at something they saw here, whether that be a family of Meerkats or a Technology Centre that would embarrass many professional trades’ facilities.
