Patron News: Have your say: SMEs in a changing Europe

Jun 16th, 2017 - Last updated at Jun 16th, 2017

SMEs are vital to the UK economy, yet a year on from the EU referendum small business owners continue to face uncertainty about the processes and consequences of Brexit. The outcome of the General Election has done little to reassure the small business community and confidence remains low.

Manchester Metropolitan Business School is hosting a forum that will bring together academics and representatives from the small business community to explore some of the practical and policy concerns surrounding Brexit. The forum aims to encourage discussion and the sharing of experience and learning. There will be an emphasis on opportunities for questions and all participants will be encouraged to have their say.

Following the presentation of academic positions on the economics of the current and potential situation ahead, we will lead a series of facilitated breakout groups to focus in more depth on particular topics or business sector. The session will conclude with a panel discussion. A buffet will be provided alongside a networking opportunity. The event is funded by the UK in a Changing Europe Initiative.
