The London School of Mediation presents its full accredited mediation training course in Manchester.

The course is approved for CMC accreditation and National Mediator Database recognition as a Certified Mediator, as well as being approved by the Bar Standards Board and the Law Society.

It is 40 hours long over five days with an examination and an assessment and carries wonderful feedback from the most demanding of delegates, as it has done for more than a decade around the world.

This course will be led by Judith Kelbie and John Harvey.

Schedule

LSM’s courses follow the highly successful model it has introduced and seen adopted around the world with a 1:6 tutor to delegate ratio and internationally renowned leaders. The days are intensive but time flies by such is the quality of the tutors and the sheer immersion and excitement of the subject.

Classroom Day

Advanced Negotiation; Mediation 101; Exercises; Workshops; and the Course Leader’s Mediation Demonstration

Day 2

Tuesday 08:30 -18:30

Practical Day

Ethics; Key Legal Issues; Four “Live” Mediations; Body Language and Non Verbal Communication workshops

Day 3

Wednesday 08:30 -18:30

Practical Day

Workplace; Complexities; Four “Live” Mediations; Soft-skills; Rapport Building and Reality Testing Techniques; the examination is issued at the end of the last session.

Day 4

Thursday 0830 -1830

Assessment Day

Full series of independent assessments

Day 5

Friday 08:30 -18:30

Assessment Day

Full series of independent assessments; followed by individual personal mentoring: the examination is handed in.
