Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Embassy of Belgium, is organising a “Belgium-Wallonia, a gateway to the EU market” event on 24th September 2019.
Why invest in Wallonia?
- Infrastructure: Wallonia is home to an impressive network of infrastructure, with the 8th largest cargo airport in Europe (Liège), the 4th densest railway network in the world and the 1st densest road network in the world according to IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook 2016 – allowing your business to be in the heart of Europe and to have access to over 500 million consumers on your doorstep!
- Workforce: With ¼ of people of working age having at least one higher degree diploma, Belgium has one of the most qualified workforces in the world along with a high level of multilingualism. Productivity is also among the highest in Europe, ahead of Germany, France and the UK.
- Innovative: Wallonia has set up many initiatives to support companies with their innovation projects. In 2017, Belgium was said to be the third most innovative country in the world behing Switzerland and Singapore.
