ITC SheTrades UK-BANGLADESH TRADE MISSION, SEP 2024

In the framework of the SheTrades Commonwealth+ Programme, funded by United Kingdom (UK)
International Development, the International Trade Centre (ITC) is organizing the UK – Bangladesh
trade mission from 24 to 27 September 2024, in collaboration with the SheTrades Bangladesh Hub
host institution, Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Foundation.

The trade mission will focus on connecting Bangladeshi women-led businesses in the textiles and
apparel, handicrafts, home décor, and information technology business process outsourcing (IT BPO)
sectors with selected buyers from the UK.

• Gain an in-depth knowledge of the business environment and specific market requirements to
  import from Bangladesh and export to the UK, including relevant trade preference schemes
  (e.g. UK Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS)).
• Facilitate direct connections with key export promotion institutions in Bangladesh
• Attend one-to-one business and networking meetings with potential suppliers in Bangladesh.
• Develop direct contacts with potential suppliers in Bangladesh and increase the company’s
  awareness of the full potential business linkages between Bangladesh and the UK, particularly
  through company visits to experience production processes of the potential suppliers
