Location: Elliot House, 151 Deansgate, Manchester, M3 3WD.
Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce is delighted to work in partnership with eBay and Families and Babies Charity (F.A.B.) to host this exclusive event supporting organisations in the third sector to increase revenue through the eBay platform. This event is for the benefit of all charities / social enterprises of all sizes - we would welcome attendees from local and national organisations.
It has never been more important for charities and social enterprises to diversify their fundraising and income-generating activities to ensure the continuation of their great work for fantastic causes. This event will provide the opportunity to learn more about the support offered to charities through eBay to assist with generating more revenue.
We are joined by Elaine Edwards, Chair of Trustees at Families and Babies Charity (F.A.B.) which has utilised eBay for the past 12 years. Elaine won an eBay World Award for her use of the platform to raise funds for her cause. Initially set up by Elaine and her partner, in the past four years the charity’s eBay department has significantly grown – allowing F.A.B. to grow their own team both with a member of staff and further volunteers to help move the eBay store forward. Elaine cites the eBay platform as a vital lifeline for the organisation during the pandemic, as the platform provides unrestricted income which can be used to help more families across the UK.
We will also be joined at this event by the team from eBay who will provide an update on eBay for Charity. This update will give insight into how the platform can benefit charities and social enterprises. They will also discuss upcoming plans for Charity Connect which should further support organisations from the third sector to utilise the power of eBay to generate further revenue.
We hope you’ll join us for the event - if you have any questions then please contact the Membership Team on 0161 393 4321.
