Chamber staff are taking part in the Pedal the Pennines Challenge again this year to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.
Pedal the Pennines is Breast Cancer Care's action packed static bike event, which will see companies from across the North of England compete against each other to cycle 350km (the distance of the Trans Pennine Trail).
The challenge takes place on 7th & 8th March 2018 between 9am - 5pm on specialist Wattbikes. The race is divided into 25 cycling slots each day, with each slot 15 minutes in length. Because it's only fifteen minutes of pedalling, it means people of any fitness level can take part, which brings the whole office together for one great cause.
Every year, 60,000 people in the UK are told they have breast cancer, and each year more than 11,600 women die from it. It’s the most common cancer affecting women in the UK today, not to mention one of the fastest growing.
By taking part in Pedal the Penninies each team will be making a difference to the lives of men and women affected by breast cancer locally and helping people through one of the most difficult challenges they will ever face.
