COUNTER, DROP OFF AND COLLECTION FOR EXPORT DOCUMENTATION SERVICES
Following the Prime Minister Announcement in December 2021, the Chamber's International Trade Team is currently operating as follows:
Currently Closed and no counter service if being offered from our main office for now. We will advice customers and members when it will be re-opened. Please do not send your documents to the head office otherwise you will experience delays in the processing of your documents.

POST (VERY IMPORTANT)
Only our airport office will remain operational at this time to receive documentation via postal method including pre-signed EUR1 forms. Please note if you are posting pre-signed EUR1 forms to us please ensure that you include your account MAN or CBE reference, so we allocate it to your application.
Returned post – Our last 1st class postage will be 3.30pm anything Royal Mail Special Delivery or signed for will be posted the next day.
Did you know you can save up to 20 minutes per application when submitting your documents electronically? We encourage all our customers to use this as the main channel to submit all documents, especially for those companies who have been submitting manually. eCert Processing Hours
We continue to offer the following:
- Monday to Friday - e-Cert applications will be processed up until 4pm.
- Last 1st class postage will be 3.30pm anything RMSD or signed for will be posted the next day.
Any documents submitted after this time may only be processed the next working day.

Services offered via eCert
Opting for Express services will enable you to print your documents directly, saving time and money in postage. Below are the documents we can process:
- UK (United Kingdom) Certificates of Origin
- UK EUR1s, please note some countries currently do not accept electronic signatures so you cannot send express. Please check the list of exceptions under Standard applications below.
- Invoices and Other Documents (e.g., packing lists) which require certification Blank Certificates - If you need blank certificates, please email our team at email@example.com to order some.
There are some countries which do not accept e-signatures therefore we cannot offer express service. Check the list below:
The British Chambers of commerce are pressing HMRC and DIT to lead discussions with countries not currently accepting e-stamps, and as of today:
- Switzerland, Chile, and Mexico are now temporarily accepting the use of e-stamps on EUR1s.
- Saudi Arabia is now accepting electronic signatures of Arab Certificates of Origin.
Whilst the post is operational, we will return documents by 1st class post. However, to facilitate and cut delivery times, if requested we can send documents back to you via email as scanned copies, so please make sure to request this in the notes to Chamber on your application.
PAYMENTS BY CHEQUES
Due to the lockdown measures, we kindly ask customers to avoid sending cheques via post as our finance team will not be able to process payments in this form. Therefore, please consider paying via BACS or With Credit card. To switch your payments, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Virtually, the whole team continues to be available from 9:00 a.m. till 17:00 p.m Monday to Friday.
When we do re-open, our Trade Team will be available general trade queries and customs declaration services from 10:00 a.m. till 16:00 p.m. every day. Please take a note that Documentation Services Counter will operate at EH Tuesdays to Thursdays as outline above.
