Calling All Members in Construction, Digital, Engineering/Manufacturing and Childcare/Education

 
Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, along with the Greater Manchester Learning Provider Network, are looking to submit a bid to the Department of Education to work with professionals in the above sectors to develop links between industry and Further Education (FE).

The 'Taking Teaching Further' programme is a national initiative to attract experienced industry professionals with expert technical knowledge and skills to work in FE. This Department for Education-funded initiative will be managed by the Education and Training Foundation who have also played a key role in the programme’s development.
 
GMCC and GMLPN are seeking to establish four Industry Boards in the Construction, Digital, Engineering/Manufacturing and Childcare/Education sectors in the Autumn of 2018, to work with training providers over a period of nine months, to help develop and shape the role of teaching staff in FE in Greater Manchester.
