Today (18th November 2020), the UK government announced its 10-point plan for a ‘Green Industrial Revolution’. The plan aims to offer solutions to the current climate crisis while allowing sustainable, renewable, and green industries to grow.

The plan encompasses a range of commitments from the ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2030, to greener homes, and a focus on renewable energy.

Business owners across the UK are playing their part in the fight against climate change by switching to cleaner energy tariffs. However, some organisations continue to be put off because they believe that green energy is too costly.

Green energy doesn’t have to cost the earth…

Choosing a green energy tariff no longer means you’ll necessarily be paying more. Green energy tariffs have been rising in popularity over recent years, with most suppliers offering the option of a renewable tariff.

Some suppliers now offer green electricity tariffs for a premium below 1% of the overall price, or where a supplier only offers renewable energy, no premium at all. In some cases, we’ve found that the cheapest available contract price for our client comes from one of the 100% renewable suppliers – a win win.
