Athena Films has appointed Social Media Makes Sense to handle the PR campaign for their Channel 5 commissioned programmes 'Saving Britain's Hedgehogs'.
It is commissioned to coincide with Hedgehog Awareness Week. Presented by Steve Backshall the programmes follow rescues, rehabilitation and releases at Amazing Grace - a rescue centre set up by Anne Brummer with the support of wildlife enthusiast and Queen guitarist Dr Brian May. Featuring people around the UK dedicated to helping hedgehogs, these programmes will raise awareness and get everyone across the country involved in saving one of Britain’s favourite mammals.
Debbie Deeney, Athena’s Head of Productions, says “We are very happy to have SMMS on board. They are very experienced in promoting the Factual Entertainment genre on social media and have an affinity for animal programmes.”
Jo Booth, SMMS Director adds, “We’re really looking forward to playing a small part in helping to raise awareness about on or Britain’s much-loved animals. So far, working with Claudia and Debbie at Athena Films has been a delight.”
