Bamboo Training and Apprenticeships has been accepted onto the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers, being able to deliver CACHE accredited Level 2 and 3 apprenticeships in Early Years to Nurseries and Supporting Teaching & Learning in schools.
Director Eleanor Patel said: "Hayley and I set up our company in 2009 Bamboo Resourcing of which Bamboo Childcare our permanent recruitment division has been the core element of our business, this has predominately been recruitment to Nurseries.
"We started the company working from home part-time around our young children (with many hours in the evening and weekends) and we now have a team of four working on this division alongside us. We have developed successful relationships with most of the major chains across the UK and many Independent nurseries through our honest and professional approach to recruitment.
"We have always reflected on how we can improve our knowledge and service to the sector and we hold networking events for Nursery Manager and owners which have proved to be a great success.
"However, our passion has always been to promote childcare as a vocation and to encourage people to enter the sector, which we have done on a small scale through school and college visits. By being accepted onto the Register of Apprenticeship providers we have achieved a great step closer to being able to support people into the sector. This approval will enable us to train both young people in education and those already working through the deliverance of Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeships in Early Years and Supporting Teaching & Learning, which will hopefully help to fill the huge gap of qualified Nursery Practitioners in the local area.
"Our training team have years of Nursery Management, Training and Assessing experience within the Early Years Sector and we are already in the process of signing up apprentices with our existing clients, however we have the capacity to enrol many more and are reaching out to local schools and nurseries to utilise our expertise in this area. The apprenticeship frameworks and the levy can be used for both new apprentices and to train existing staff, creating opportunities for schools and nurseries to develop a highly skilled workforce.
"We are also delivering short courses including Emergency First Aid at Work, Paediatric first Aid, Safeguarding, The Wonder of Babies and many more."
