The next Mahdlo Business Breakfast will take place on Thursday 13th June 2019 with guest speaker Jennie Johnson MBE, founder and CEO of Kids Allowed.

Jennie formed Kids Allowed when she was faced with Hobson’s choice whilst looking for childcare for her 2nd child.  Not prepared to accept what was already out there, she took her wish list of what fantastic childcare should look like, went off and created it, with her first centre opening in 2005.  Passionate about making a difference in the sector and caring for her team, Jennie is as popular with her colleagues as she is with mums and dads.  In 2012, Jennie opened her own training academy to underpin the knowledge and professional development of colleagues.  In 2016, Jennie was awarded an MBE for services to Apprenticeships.

Kids Allowed opened their 8th setting in 2018 and in 2017 were awarded Business of the Year (Manchester Evening News), Nursery Group of the Year (Nursery World) and Jennie was awarded CEO of the Year (the first female to win) at the UK Private Business Awards.

Sponsored by Ideal Unified Communications the event starts at 8:45am at the Egerton Street centre, is free to attend and open to all business owners, leaders, managers, entrepreneurs and students from across Oldham.

Claire Crossfield, Development Manager at Mahdlo commented, “We are looking forward to giving Jennie a warm Mahdlo welcome and would like to thank her for giving up her time to come to Mahdlo to aher her story.  As a charity, we are asking if guests would consider making a voluntary donation of £5 upon arrival or at time of booking. This donation will be used to help us to continue to provide affordable, exciting and inspiring activities for our members.“
