Wylie & Bisset, the leading Glasgow-headquartered chartered accountants with a national reach, has today (Monday 1st April) opened an office in the heart of Manchester’s financial district as it gears up to target growth across the north of England.
Located at 3 Hardman Square, Spinningfields, the new office is headed by Wylie & Bisset joint managing partner Ross McLauchlan, together with partners Scott Gillon and Graham Gillespie and managed by Neil Clark.
The launch of the Manchester office follows the firm’s recent acquisition of fellow Glasgow CA practice McLellan Harris and marks the latest step in an expansion strategy combining a series of acquisitions with organic growth to enhance its activity in the UK’s buoyant SME sector.
McLauchlan said: “We are delighted to open an office in Manchester, which will allow us to enhance the range of services we offer to our established public sector client base throughout the north of England and enable us to grow our private sector client list throughout the local economy.
“The opening of this office marks our commitment to build upon the success we have achieved in the north of England to date. Our core strength is our independence and we are now at the start of a phase whereby we see further expansion in acquisitions and organic growth, supported by the strong numbers within the business that allow us to do that. We look forward to meeting with many more local business and contacts over the comings weeks.”
Wylie & Bisset has nearly doubled in size over the last decade. It currently has 10 partners and 120 staff and plans to achieve further significant growth over the short to medium term.
