Go Electric Launch Event Held

Date: 30/01/2019

Over 80 businesses attended our launch event for Go Electric!, hosted by Salford University in association with TfGM, Greater Manchester Chamber, Energy Saving Trust and Lets Experience Electric.

Great feedback was received from both exhibitors and attendees, who spent time visiting the How to, Charging, Manufacturer and Mobility zones, where a team of experts were busy answering questions about the world of EV.

Outside a line-up of ride and drive vehicles enabled attendees to test drive and discover why people are increasingly looking at converting to EV.

The event started with a series of quick presentations providing an overview of TfGM’s expanding GMEV network, the launch of free Energy Saving Trust audits for businesses, the expanding choice of EV cars and vans, our very own Chris Fletcher discussing the EV 2018 survey and Salford University promoting their exciting Haven V2G project.

The next event will take place on February 27th 2019 at Logistics North in Bolton. Logistics North is the North West’s largest live logistics and manufacturing development, offering over 4 million sq. ft of employment space across 250 acres.

Harworth Group, the hosts, have provided a brand new 149,000 sq. ft unit for the day, with more than enough space to showcase the latest EV infrastructure, alternative fuel solutions and mobility. In addition to our extensive range of EV cars and vans there will also be HGVs to test drive.

This is a business to business event for Chamber members to find out more and start to consider their electric/alternative fuel journey.
