Love and chocolates were in the air at Salford communications supply specialist Nycomm, to celebrate the most romantic day of the year – which ironically coincided with a major telephone invention milestone.
In a ‘heart-felt’ gesture by the directors every member of the 374-strong workforce arrived for work to a box of chocolates on their desk with a special message wishing them a happy valentine’s day.
Ironically both Alexander Graham Bell and Elisha Gray applied for patents for telephone designs on February 14, 1876 – making it a double reason for Nycomm to celebrate.
In addition heart-shaped balloons and themed messages adorned the company’s Manchester headquarters - with various games taking place on the sales floor along with spot prizes as part of a monthly sales incentive.
“People are our biggest asset so what better way to show them how much we care and value their efforts than on Valentine’s Day,” said Head of Dealer Sales, Tom Maxwell.
