With digitalisation on the tip of almost every business tongue at the moment, one Manchester based company is helping SME’s to make sense of the new buzz words and myriad of solutions. VisualPM aims to help SME’s demystify the digitalisation and Industry 4.0 journey by using a straight forward three step approach.

Firstly they provide a free, online self-assessment digital readiness tool for SME’s. The 10 minute online diagnostic allows business owners and executives to benchmark where they are in their digital journey compared to peer groups and competitors as well as receiving free guidance on next steps, potential low cost solutions, and available funding.

Business owners can then decide if they would like to undertake an in depth sponsored review to produce a robust strategic approach and operational roadmap for the journey ahead. The output of the review also produces a business case for clients which outlines the potential business impacts and financial improvements available from digitalisation / Industry 4.0,  as well as the potential costs, cash flow and ROI.

SME’s can then advance by quickly installing real time data modules to each part of their business from sales and business development, their supply chain, through production to customer delivery, which allow for faster and better decisions leading to improvements in efficiency and productivity that are often in excess of 20%.

Andrew Hill, CEO of VisualPM said "The three step process is aimed at getting SME’s advancing quickly and in a cost effective way along the digitalisation path without the need to initially invest in expensive automation or robotics which is often wrongly assumed to be the basic requirement of Industry 4.0 or digitalisation."
