SE Recycling is committed to creating a sustainable future for all and one way we do this is through our commitment to providing social value to the local community and wider reaches of society.
This is why we have chosen to partner with Henshaws, a North-based charity that supports people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities. This support helps people, and their families build skills, develop confidence, help each other and look forward to a more positive future.

Henshaws works throughout the North of England supporting children, young people, families and adults with sight loss and disabilities. The charity is continually developing technology to support more people, wherever they are, through delivery of online assistance. Henshaw’s Knowledge Village provides valuable information for professionals working in social care, people with sight loss and their families.

Throughout our partnership with Henshaws we plan to not only help raise funds for their charity but help other businesses too through the recycling of their IT equipment.

Mel Scholefield, Fundraising Development Manager commented, ‘’Henshaws are thrilled to be nominated Charity of the year for SE Recycling. We are excited to be working together to raise awareness of sight loss and other disabilities whilst raising vital funds to continue our vital work in the community.’’

Max Nagle, Marketing Executive and Head of Social Values commented: “For SER, sustainability doesn’t just mean being green. We believe in social sustainability and the positive impact businesses can have on people’s lives. After visiting the team at Henshaws I got to see first-hand all the great work the charity is doing and that by partnering with Henshaws we know we can help support the charity in making a genuine difference to people living with sight loss and other disabilities.”
