What a fantastic night once again at the 10th anniversary of the much anticipated Stockport Business Awards in the newly refurbished suites at Stockport County FC! After such prolonged lockdowns and minimal social interactions, the black-tie event didn't disappoint and once again Stockport businesses demonstrated their tour de force.
As Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce President for Stockport, I honestly couldn't be more proud of the borough I represent and the amazing individuals and businesses within it. A fantastic amount of money was also raised (over £3,000) for the two local charity partners: Smart Works Stockport and NHS Stockport Charity. The strong and consistent collaborations between businesses, schools, colleges, council and third sector is something that I've often said could very well do with being emulated across the country.
It would seem that all parties have their ‘listening ears’ on and the consequence is a borough very much on the up. I have to say a massive thanks to Alice Atkinson at Clarke Nicklin too for organising the intricacies of the whole event. What an achievement! Over 380 people were in attendance and Andrew Baggott, Managing Partner of Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants commented; “Our 10th anniversary did not disappoint – after last year was postponed, it was clear everyone was ready to celebrate with each other, and the room was an extremely vibrant and positive chance for Stockport businesses to reflect on how far they have come the past two years. We are grateful that every year we continue to find and are able to highlight the great businesses that Stockport has to offer.”
