Representatives from Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) gave a presentation to the Chamber Assembly on 25th January about plans to tackle congestion with a flexible working campaign. The presentation highlighted how changes to working times could help reduce rush hour traffic.
As part of this campaign TfGM is committed to working with local businesses to improve how the road network is managed, give people more choice about how and when they travel and increase the amount of space on the roads.
To help give people more choice about how and when they travel, TfGM is exploring the promotion of flexible working in partnership with businesses, including developing ideas with Greater Manchester Chamber.
Having attended the Assembly, TfGM would like to engage with Chamber members on the flexible working campaign development. Furthermore, it is interested in businesses who are enabling and encouraging flexible working within their own organisations who may be able to share their experience with others.
