Spinningfields will welcome its first ‘golf club’ this month when The Range tees off. The Range has been set up by 31-year-old Andrew McLoughney (pictured), a former +2 handicap golfer who has decided to bring a unique golfing opportunity to Manchester – the chance to play 100 of the best golf courses in the world from the heart of city centre.

Andrew travelled the world playing the finest golf courses in some of the most prestigious tournaments. However, injuries curtailed his promising career and brought him to Manchester where he has chosen to establish The Range. Andrew began seeing the potential for indoor golf five years ago when technological advances took simulation golf from fun but inaccurate to relied upon by top tour players for improving their game.

Based in Leftbank, it is an indoor golf members’ club offering the perfect blend of luxury and convenience. There are five state-of-the-art golf simulators which combine the latest in virtual reality and launch monitor technology to bring the fairway to you. The GC2 with Head Measurement technology collects data direct from the golf ball, giving you exceptional levels of accuracy in both simulation and swing analysis. The club also offers a custom fitting service and some of Manchester’s best coaches on hand to help members improve their game and hire for private one-to-one tuition.

Next door to the golfing area, Albatross & Arnold; a cosy wine bar & lounge serving delicious sharing-style dishes inspired by the British Isles wish dishes including marinated sirloin steak, pan roasted scallops and lamb cutlets alongside fine wines, cocktails and ales. The perfect location for whiling away a few hours and taking in the sights of Spinningfields.

Memberships are available for individuals as well as corporates with membership fees starting from £100 per month on a 12 month basis. Visit www.therange.uk.com for more information.
