Trafford Council has announced further extensions to its Additional Restrictions Grant Scheme, enabling more businesses impacted by COVID-19 to benefit from financial support.
Three further rounds have been announced and businesses which meet the eligibility criteria are invited to apply. Applicants are reminded to provide the supporting evidence required to evaluate their submission at the time of application.
The details of the extensions are as follows:
Round 3a; Applications are invited from companies with backdated rateable valuations (RVs) in the Retail, Hospitality and Leisure (RHL) categories. Eligible companies are those which applied to the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) for a retrospective change after March 11th. Where the retrospective change has been granted but the company remained ineligible for the RLHG scheme, businesses will be eligible to apply.
Round 3b; Applications are invited from Self-employed businesses based in residential properties which have not qualified for the Local Restrictions Support Grant and have not received support through the Government's Self Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS).
Round 3c; Applications are invited from businesses of strategic importance to the local economy which have not received Government grant funding. Medium and large sized businesses (those employing more than 50 people in Trafford) are invited to apply.
Amendment to Round 2; In an amendment to Round 2, Micro and Small businesses based in Trafford which are liable for business rates but are not eligible for the Local Restrictions Support Grant are invited to apply. Previously Round 2 was only open to businesses in the supply chain to the leisure, hospitality, personal care and accommodation sectors. Businesses operating across all sectors are now invited to apply.
Trafford Council has also announced that no new applications to the Additional Restrictions Grant Scheme will be accepted after the 31st of March 2021. The scheme will be reviewed thereafter.
