Experiencing the world of work is a critical part a learner’s time at college. It gives young people an opportunity to embed and enhance their skills and offers them a chance to broaden their professional networks.

Oldham College's students need to experience a real business environment, doing a job that benefits the employer and having the opportunity to put into practice what they’ve learnt on their courses so far.

The College's faculty offers a variety of courses, from Business and Enterprise to Accounting and Law.

All of the College's learners require one week of work experience to achieve their qualifications and the College is looking to send the learners on placement throughout the academic year.

Health and Safety checks are required prior to placement, but this could be a short visit, at your convenience, or a telephone/email consultation.

The College is dedicated to providing learners with the skills and knowledge to develop themselves and improve their future prospects. In turn, aiding the development of the community as a whole.

However, the College needs to work alongside business partners, such as yourselves, to be able to do so.

If you are interested in providing some invaluable experience to one, or more, of the College's learners, contact Lee Harland, Work Experience Placement Officer, on 0161 785 4197 or email:lee.harland@oldham.ac.uk
