Elliot Hall, Membership Executive at Greater Manchester Chamber, has continued his charity work with Breakthrough UK by staging a series of Digital Mock-Interviews.
Following on from the interviews held at Elliot House back in November, the Chamber and Breakthrough UK combined once again to provide their Pathways Pre-Employment participants with an opportunity to gain vital experience in a staged virtual interview scenario.
The digital Mock-Interviews offered the candidates an insight into the evolving nature of the recruitment process, delivering an authentic online experience to help prepare them for world of work.
Interviewee Jane said: “I was really nervous beforehand but at the end of the interview I felt much more relaxed. Elliot made me feel at ease and I felt able to answer the questions without feeling under pressure.”
Laura, who was also interviewed, added: “The interview went really well. I found the questions easy to understand and to answer. I now feel more confident to have a job interview. It was a great experience. Thank you for giving me the opportunity.”
As a small charity based in Manchester, Breakthrough UK supports disabled people to lead independent lives and to get into, stay in and progress in work. Breakthrough provides equality training, pre-employment courses and work placements for individuals looking to access meaningful jobs and independence.
Elliot and Breakthrough are scheduled to team up again later in the year to provide further opportunities for candidates aiming to find out more about the benefits of working and independent life.
