Power Up

The Power Up Agency, a flexi-job apprenticeship agency, has recently been launched by the GM Chamber with the support of the Department of Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS), The Arts Council, and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. This innovative agency aims to enhance on-the-job learning, cultivate skills development, and promote workplace progression.

The training program is centred around project management and leadership development and is designed to start creative project assistants at level 3 across Greater Manchester, Yorkshire and the North-East. The Power Up Agency's model offers an economical way to tap into an array of emerging and diverse talent pools, enabling companies to expand their teams and support the growth of creative and cultural employers in the North.

GM Chamber will act as the Agency and will employ the apprentices, hosting them with various employers for the duration of the 18-month apprenticeship. This means that businesses only need to commit to a 6-month placement from £300 a week to have an apprentice working on a creative project throughout their employment.

One of the benefits of working with Power Up Agency is that employers and apprentices will receive one-to-one support throughout the apprenticeship and apprentices will have access to the best funded training through Bauer Media.

Power Up Agency will ensure the most suitable apprentices are match to the roles and businesses available, making the process as smooth and successful as possible for all involved.
