Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce celebrates its 230th birthday this year and we will be highlighting key milestones over the coming months.

Charles Brandt, the first President of Manchester Commercial Society - the forerunner of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce - took office on 6th March 1794.

Although Manchester has changed beyond recognition since Mr Brandt's time, the President of today continues to play a key role representing the Chamber and its members.

Emma Holt, the current President of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, said: "As President, I'm so proud to represent GMCC across the areas of commerce, community and culture in our city region and beyond."

The Chamber will be holding an exclusive birthday party on 12th June to celebrate our 230 years. You can be part of the festivities by taking one of our limited-edition birthday bundles - find out more here
