Greater Manchester Chamber has partnered with the British Bulgarian Business Association to promote partnership and collaboration opportunities for companies in the ICT sector.

ICT, Creative and Media Industries is a thriving and fast growing sector in Manchester, as it is in Bulgaria. It is expected that in the coming years, the Bulgarian software industry will reach 3% of their GDP. Currently, 80% of the revenue from this sector come from exporting and in the last in the 7yrs, up to 2018, the industry was reported to have grown by 300% reaching over €2.5bn.

Greater Manchester is also home to one of the largest digital, creative, media clusters in Europe.  The sector employs over 84,575 people across over 8,000 companies and contributes £62.8bn to the local economy. As the region and Manchester positions itself as a innovative hub across software and data, digital health, ecommerce, fintech, cyber security, broadcast and media production, we can see there is plenty of scope for international collaborations with Bulgarian companies.

This event is aimed at British companies seeking to establish collaboration and partnerships, and especially those interested in outsourcing from Bulgarian companies.  We will be adding profiles of the Bulgarian delegates in the coming months so companies to choose who they wish to meet with.

They are also keen to learn from best practices and establish contacts with business organisations in the sector, so if you are interested in being a speaker or expert panellist, please email Susana.cordoba@gmchamber.co.uk for more information.

The event is taking place on 15th October 2020 (all day event) and whilst initially is being planned as an offline event, pending on lockdown measures, this may be delivered either completely offline or as a mixed event.  For B2B meetings, we will have both options available.
