One of the UK’s leading customs agents, a Preston-based enterprise, has been awarded AEO status.
Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status is an internationally recognised standard, providing firms with a ‘trusted trader’ status. The internationally recognised accreditation involves multiple HMRC site visits and rigorous inspection. Everything from finances and procedures to customs compliance and knowledge is investigated during the vetting process.
If successful in their application, businesses granted AEO status are able to demonstrate their strong role in the international supply chain and commitment to excellence.
Just 25 UK companies were granted AEO status in 2023.
