Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the British Chamber of Commerce for Italy to deliver an event. The event will see a series of experts in areas such as market/consumer trends, procurement practices, customs, logistics and documentation help British companies access the Italian market.

The event is due to take place on 14th July 2020 and will gather Italian suppliers interested in the British market. There will be opportunities for informal networking with delegates from both countries as well as expert speakers.

Food and drink exports from the UK to Italy grew by 8% and 30% respectively between 2016 and 2019, and total UK exports to Italy totalled £935M in 2019. There are still huge opportunities for growing British food and drink exports, with an estimated potential of more than £300M!

Whilst the North West’s food and drink exports grew by 7% during this period, there is still room for further growth as neighbouring regions are seeing growth in double figures.

Italy is Greater Manchester’s 8th largest export and importing partner, and we believe there is huge scope for growing our current bilateral trade with this market.

This event is open to both members and non-members and will be ideal for exporters whether they are new, occasional, or experienced.
