Sector Council
Our Engineering and Manufacturing Sector Council and Group Training Association (GTA) set the vision and strategy for the development of the sector including skills, employment and business support. The members are from a cross-section of industries across the sectors and together they identify areas requiring development and plan and monitor suitable actions and strategies to ensure growth and competitiveness throughout the sector.

Recruiting & Training Apprentices
We can recruit and place apprentices across a range of industry disciplines - our newly opened Greater Manchester SkillCentre gives young people and adults a head start before they enter industry - come and see us in action!

The Greater Manchester SkillCentre
The SkillCentre is a dedicated training facility providing vocational education/apprenticeship programmes using new technology and flexible modes of delivery. The SkillCentre embraces our aspirations to improve the quality of our provision. As well as adult and community learning programmes, we have developed partnerships with a number of suppliers and employers to furnish the centre with the latest equipment and materials.
