Export Documentation
In the past three years we have helped traders move shipments worth over £1.8bn to the local economy.
If you’re importing or exporting goods or services, then you’ll need export documentation to go with it, and we’re the largest provider of certification services in the North of England supporting more than 1,500 companies every year.
We also offer legalisation, apostille & notarisation services, liaising with foreign embassies and the Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO) on your behalf. Leave the paperwork to us and focus on what really matters to grow your business.
With standard, express and priority services - we can make sure you get the documents you need, when you need them. Members of the Chamber can get up to 50% off selected documents.
Documents Services
ATA Carnets
An ATA Carnet is used to temporarily import or export goods, without facing customs or value added tax charges. Commonly called the 'passport for goods' and can replace the needs for customs documents.
UK Certificate of Origin
A UK Certificate of Origin is a document which states where the goods being shipped have been grown, manufactured or produced. This document will confirm the goods can legally enter a country and/or what relief in duty they might be eligible for.
UK EUR1 Movement Certificate
This document can support businesses in claiming reduced or zero import duties on goods shipped to countries with which the UK has an existing trade agreement. This is applicable with countries who are part of the EUR1 scheme.
Arab Certificate of Origin
This document is similar to a UK Certificate of Origin, but certifies the country of origin for goods that are specifically being exported to Arab League countries. This certificate can be used to determine tariff rates.
International Import Certificate
An International Import Certificate (IIC) is required for imports of ‘controlled’ goods. It is an undertaking by the importer to import goods into the United Kingdom without diversion or trans-shipment elsewhere, and not to re-export the goods without an export licence.
Other Documents
Alongside our commonly processed documents, our team can also help certify a wider range of documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, export health certificates, Saudi Arabia visa letters, certificates of conformity, certificates of incorporation, and much more.
Register for Documents
To start processing your documents via the Chamber, you'll need to register in our eCert platform, familiarise yourself with the standard rules, and make sure we have an up to date copy of your Formal Undertaking.
