Building a Greater Manchester
Who we are
The property and construction industry is an extremely important sector and source of employment in our region. Per year, property and construction contributes £205bn to the UK economy and £20bn to the North West economy. In Greater Manchester 95,000 people are employed in the sector, which is made up of 19,000 businesses. Greater Manchester has led the way in the UK, surpassing all growth projections.
What we do
As a group, we recognise our collective position and influence far outweighs our individual strength. That’s why we take a collaborative approach and are driven to share the value in our respective networks for the benefit of our members. We will fully exploit our unique position to exert influence at the highest level – locally, nationally and internationally – to improve the policies that shape the safety, efficiency, profitability, and sustainability of our sector.

Latest Greater Manchester Property and Construction Updates
Nearly 4,000 businesses across Greater Manchester have helped to shape course provision for post-16 learners, thanks to their participation in the GM Local Skills Improvement Plan. Data gathered through survey responses and one-to-one interviews about employers’ skills shortages and labour market issues has resulted in additional courses being implemented across construction.

Back by popular demand, we're delighted to announce the return of the GMCC Property & Construction Summit on 7th November. Bringing together industry leaders, sector influencers and the most important voices in the region - the Summit will feature workshops, panel discussions and key note speeches.
Training and Development
As part of our work on the Greater Manchester Local Skills Improvement Plan, we aim to build connections between employers and providers to help businesses and individuals get the skills they need to grow.
