Chamber Assembly
The Chamber Assembly is a body of business leaders shaping the future of Greater Manchester.
Chamber Assembly gives our members the opportunity to bring forward business issues, discuss their impact and agree on any action that needs taking.
The Assembly plays a crucial role on behalf of the Chamber members – it acts as a sounding board, a decision-making group and a focal point to tackle business issues across the Greater Manchester business community.
Our quarterly meetings, chaired by Chamber President, Emma Holt, remain a vital and valued element of our work on behalf of our members. With open forum debate, interactive voting and expert speakers, there are a number of ways for members to get involved. You can become an elected Assembly member or one of our Local Presidents – a more formal role in the Assembly, championing local business issues.

Raise an Issue
If your business is facing an issue - then raise it. Communicate with us via your Local President, your Account Manager, our Policy Team or at a Chamber event. The more case studies we have, the stronger our voice.
We'll Collate It
All issues raised with our team are discussed internally, they are then taken to our Policy and Campaigns Committee. Common issues are added to the Agenda at our quarterly Assembly meetings.
Open Discussion
With open forum debate, interactive voting and expert speakers, we gain insight and feedback from the Chamber Assembly which informs the stance we'll take as the recognised voice of business.
A Way Forward
Once an agreement has been reached, the Chamber will take action feeding back to local, regional and national policy makers and government bodies. We also feed into the British Chambers of Commerce, Treasury and Bank of England.
Report Back
We bring updates, outcomes and feedback to the Chamber Assembly, and to the Chamber membership, demonstrating change and the power of the Chamber network.
