AI@Biz – AI in Hospitality: Productivity, Personalisation and Sustainable Growth
AI’s transformative potential for productivity, service quality, sustainability, and competitiveness is reshaping the hospitality sector. From personalised guest experiences and smart operations to sustainability management and workforce augmentation, AI is becoming a core enabler of value creation across hotels, food services, and tourism-related businesses.
As part of its AI@Biz event series, Manchester Metropolitan University Business School, in collaboration with department of Operations, Technology, Events and Hospitality Management (OTEHM), The Manchester College Business Innovation Hub and the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, brings together regional stakeholders to explore how AI can be practically adopted, responsibly deployed, and effectively scaled within the hospitality sector, with a strong Greater Manchester focus.
This half-day event is designed to inform, inspire, and support hospitality businesses of all sizes, including SMEs, large operators, entrepreneurs, educators, and researchers. It will showcase how AI is already being used to address sector-specific challenges such as rising operating costs, labour shortages, sustainability pressures, changing guest expectations, and digital skills gaps.
By convening diverse voices from industry, education, and research, this AI@Biz event aims to strengthen the regional AI ecosystem for hospitality, supporting smarter operations, sustainable growth, and more resilient businesses—while keeping guest experience and human empathy at the centre of innovation.
