Employment Law Changes and What They Mean for SME's

Join us in person to get the lowdown on the latest employment law changes and how they affect small businesses with a glass of fizz in hand! It's a great opportunity to stay ahead of the game, ask questions, and network with fellow SME owners. Don’t miss out on practical tips that can help your business navigate these updates smoothly!

Just some of the changes that are on the horizon:

April 2026 the following key policies will come into effect:

  • Day one rights to paternity and unpaid parental leave for all employees.

  • Statutory Sick Pay (removal of lower-earnings limit and making leave available from the first day of absence)

October 2026 the following policies will come into effect:

  • Ban on fire-and-rehire

  • Day one rights to unfair dismissal changes, these are still to be confirmed - more information will be given at the event and how you can navigate this successfully.

These changes (and others) will impact your employment contracts, HR policies, and day-to-day people management, so it's crucial to understand what you need to update before the deadlines hit.

We'll also be introducing you to an amazing new tool, which will make the life of MDs who don't have their own HR Department so much easier.

There will also be the opportunity to network and enjoy a glass of fizz.
