Many roles are involved in a supply chain:
The supplier: Providing raw materials (e.g. cotton, steel, silicon).
The manufacturer: Tuning the materials into products.
Logistics providers: Handles storage, inventory, and transportation. Includes freight companies, warehouse operators, and customs agents.
Distributors: Moving the goods through warehouses and shipping.
Wholesalers & retailers: Selling the finished product to customers.
Consumers: The final destination.
