B-engineering, a leading M&E company in Warrington, is ramping up its partnership with Warrington Youth Zone. The company already had a long-standing history with the centre through its dedicated volunteer work and technical support but aims to deepen its involvement through expanded initiatives this holiday season.

As we lead up to Christmas, B-engineering will be supporting the centre with free gas servicing and heavily discounted service rates to ensure the centre stays warm for families who are depending on the youth zone.

Since its opening in 2022, the youth centre has become a hub for positive change, providing support and skill development for children across all economic backgrounds. The annual impact study found that 85% of the children who attended the centre made more friends, and 44% worked harder at school since attending the facility. The wider community has also benefited from the Youth Zone, with 82% reporting that anti-social behaviour has reduced as a result. These results highlight why partnerships like ours matter.

“We believe engineering is not just about building structures; it’s about building futures.” Stated Rob Ditchfield, B-engineering’s MD. “Our partnership with the youth centre enables us to give back in meaningful ways, supporting families and creating pathways for young people to grow in a safe space.”

As part of its holiday initiatives, B-engineering will be engaging in the centre’s “Christmas in a Box” campaign. This project will ensure that families in the local area experiencing financial hardships receive everything they need to celebrate the festive season, from gifts and food to decorations, right to their doorsteps.

Last year alone, the campaign aided over 500 households, transforming what could have been a challenging time into a season filled with joy and hope.

The team will also be involved in the ‘Christmas Servicing Dinner’, which will aim to support 60 local families facing hardship with a festive meal. WYZ is seeking to raise £2500 for this initiative and will make a huge difference in making these families feel valued and cared for.

Dave McNicholl, Chief Executive of Warrington Youth Zone, explained “We are delighted to receive the support from B-Engineering, not only for the cost saving it will provide to the charity, allowing us to spend more on children, young people and families. But also our partnership with B-engineering will provide an opportunity for young people who are interested to explore a career in engineering, as they will be able to access work placements and talks from the B-engineering team.”

Earlier this year, B-engineering was recognised on Wigan’s Bronze Patron list for its ongoing contributions through consultation, donations and hands-on voluntary work. B-engineering plans to replicate its successful model at Warrington Youth Zone, continuing its tradition of supporting children in the communities where it operates.
