A long-established Greater Manchester foodservice supplier is setting its sights on the region’s hospitality sector as it prepares to exhibit at next month’s Northern Restaurant & Bar Show.

Rochdale-based Dunsters Farm has supplied professional kitchens across the North West for decades, building a reputation for reliable delivery, quality produce and strong customer relationships. The award-winning business is now focussed on expanding its presence with cafés, restaurants and hospitality venues closer to home.

Working with a broad mix of catering operations - from independent hospitality, school kitchens to event venues - the company says hospitality growth has become an increasing priority, particularly across Greater Manchester where the business began and remains headquartered.

That ambition was strengthened in May last year when fresh produce specialist Ralph Livesey joined the business, expanding its fruit and vegetable expertise alongside existing ambient, chilled and frozen ranges. The move brought experienced buyers, established grower relationships and closer links with regional suppliers, significantly strengthening the company’s fresh produce offer.

Managing Director Hannah Barlow said: “We’ve always been a well-known foodservice business; dependable delivery, good produce and strong relationships are what we’re known for. Hospitality operators want that same reliability, but with flexibility and a genuine understanding of how kitchens work day to day. With the expertise we’ve added to our fresh produce offer, it means we really do know our onions — literally.”

Recent recognition has reflected the company’s growth. The business was named among the North West’s Fastest 50 growing companies last year and continues to invest in service, infrastructure and local partnerships.

Community impact also remains part of the company’s ethos, including redistributing surplus food through regional food poverty charities such as FareShare Greater Manchester.

Hospitality customers already working with the supplier highlight the consistency and quality of service. One Greater Manchester restaurant customer said:

“The difference with Dunsters Farm is the quality and reliability. Since moving to six-day delivery, we’re rarely caught short, and ordering is always straightforward, with a great Business Development Manager — it just makes day-to-day running that bit easier.”

Dunsters Farm will exhibit at next month’s Northern Restaurant & Bar Show, the region’s leading hospitality trade event at Manchester Central on 10–11 March. To find out more, speak to the Dunsters team at the event (Stand NC38) or visit dunstersfarm.com.
