Made in Stockport Business Showcase 2026
Stockport creative Aqua Design Group outlines some of the reasons to have a ‘Made in Stockport’ badge that would be available for businesses across the town to download, stickers to put on products, on social media and put on their websites.
There is still ongoing industrial and creative output happening within the town in the form of small manufacture, classic car restoration, bakers, restaurants, architects and builders, large scale food manufacture, artisans and artists, music recording studio, solo artists and bands.
So why not help those businesses shout about their services with and show off the fact they are made in the borough, this badge could then be shared on social media with the badge as a watermark on businesses product and service images, put of social media headers, used across social media channels like X, Facebook and Instagram to showcase what the town is capable of and the variety of products and services on offer.
Aqua Design Group identified some key features the badge could have, referring to the varied architectural gems across the town. Be it the Viaduct which can be seen across Stockport town centre, a Hat for the towns history of hat making and of course Stockport County Football Club ‘The Hatters’, historic Indoor Market Hall, the art deco exterior of the Plaza Theatre and the Town Hall.
Dylan Moore, owner of Aqua Design Group commented:
“ Like the Champagne region of France being famous for sparkling wine or Melton Mowbray being famous for a particular style of pork pie it establishes provinance of where that item was made. So why not have a badge for producers across Stockport to put on their items.”
Aqua Design Group wants to get businesses involved in the #MadeInStockport campaign throughout 2026, the previous blog can be found on their website www.aquadesigngroup.co.uk. If you’d like more information about products related to the badge you can email info@aquadesigngroup.co.uk.
