Safe-Lee Aims for Greater Manchester Growth

Safe-Lee Inspections & Consultancy is looking to broaden its client base across Greater Manchester. The independent inspection company, which is based in Manchester, provides a wealth of experience within the industry, offering statutory and non-statutory examinations of plant and machinery.

The business was founded by Lee Charnock, who has been working in the inspection industry since 2009. Lee served for 12 years in the military and has a wide range of engineering experience from basic Mechanical Engineering to maintenance and installation of complex Cryogenic systems. Outside of work, Lee is also a qualified, DBS checked football coach and goal keeper coach, who gives his own time to develop children in the local community. After having worked for a highly reputable company, he is now proud to be able to offer his services to clients in Greater Manchester and beyond.

While construction is one of Lee’s main areas of business, he is able to provide services to many other sectors. He explains: “I cover any industry you can think of. I'm trying to get a broader spectrum of business. Manchester's got the biggest construction sector, but I'm trying to get a broader range of clients. I can cover colleges, schools and all sorts of other organisations. I’m also focusing on manufacturing and hire equipment and garage equipment. I do quite a lot of harnesses, lanyards and working at height as well. I have a good turnover but as a developing business I have plenty of scope for growth.”

Lee believes that as an SME he can offer a much more personal and reliable service than his larger competitors. He adds: “I’m more flexible than the bigger companies, can get there quicker and provide a more personal touch. Some other companies have one engineer covering a big area with many clients, so they’re always late and sometimes might not turn up at all.”

Lee is also a member of the CPA (Construction and Plant Hire Association).
