Mental Health Awareness


Mental Health: it’s a topic that’s received a lot of press specifically over the last 6 years, and it’s something I feel passionate about.

It is such a broad topic at work and it’s one that sits with HR Teams most of the time unless it’s a larger organisation with a dedicated Welfare Team.

Whether it’s something that’s flagged via policies, absence cases, underperformance or behaviour at work; Mental Health is something that is part of our day to day work as professionals and business owners and as such it’s important that we continue to build on our understanding.

I believe this starts with the right level of education and understanding surrounding triggers, and what employers can and should be doing to help / offer support generally and more specifically for people with ongoing issues and who might be struggling. Where possible it’s ideal to prevent issues from occurring with the right level of support.
