In 2021, after three decades of success, Forepoint recognised that while it was a profitable and respected creative agency, it had reached a natural plateau. The leadership team wanted more than business as usual and its ambition was to shape its future direction and growth deliberately. To this end, Forepoint set out to rediscover its ambition, sharpen its strategy, and build greater confidence in a renewed offer.
“We were steady, profitable and proud of our work, but we wanted to be more deliberate about where we were heading. We needed a stronger proposition and to be more strategic in how we grew, and we knew that if we got that right, the confidence of the whole business would follow.”
Steve Gill, Forepoint’s Managing Partner
And so began the companys most significant transformation – a reinvention rooted in purpose, strategy, and collaboration. Working with transformation expert Ralph Ardill, Forepoint adopted a creative-transformation framework that became fundamental to its evolution. It enabled the company to engage the wider Forepoint team to redefine who they were as a business, what they stood for, and how they wanted to grow.
Involving the entire team from the outset was crucial. It sparked renewed pride, collaboration, and energy within the studio, and embedded purpose, accountability, and creativity into everyday operations. As a result, Forepoint has introduced new consulting services, value-driven client programmes, and a next-generation management team.
“The moment we started treating the agency as a creative project, everything changed. The energy in the studio lifted. People felt involved, responsible and proud again. It gave everyone permission to bring their best thinking to the table.”
Keith Noble, Forepoint’s Creative Director
The impact has been tangible. Over the past two years, company turnover has increased by 47% and gross profit by 43% – supported by record staff engagement, stronger board-level client relationships, and a shift from projects to programmes of work, culminating in our biggest-ever client win.
More importantly, Forepoint’s culture has evolved: leadership is now shared, confidence has deepened, and all employees see themselves as authors of the company’s future. This transformation journey shows how purpose-driven creativity unlocks lasting growth and reinvigorates both people and performance.
Forepoint is proud of its collaborative achievements and delighted that the DBA has recognised the success by sharing this transformation story in their recent article.
