Leukaemia & Myeloma Research UK, a North West-based charity with offices in Hyde, is calling on local businesses to support its efforts in the fight against blood cancer by hosting clothing banks on their premises.
The charity is committed to funding vital research into the causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and cure of leukaemia and myeloma, while also backing stem cell research into paediatric blood cancer.
Clothing banks are already in place at a church and an office block in Tameside, and the organisation is looking to extend this initiative. Across the North West, clothing banks can be found at community centres, village halls, pubs, sports centres, gyms, farm shops, and children’s play centres.
There is no cost or obligation for businesses wishing to participate, and all clothing banks are fully maintained and serviced by the charity.
This initiative offers a meaningful way for local businesses to contribute to their community while helping raise funds for life-saving research.
