VPS is proud to have received the Silver Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, recognising its ongoing commitment to the UK Armed Forces community. VPS was honoured to host The Mayor and Mayoress of Oldham, along with Major Eddie Hardaker of the British Army. For the presentation, they were joined by just some of the many veterans VPS employs from across its business, who shared their career journeys and stories about their service.
VPS knows that diversity strengthens its teams. The leadership, discipline, and perspective that veterans bring enhance the way it works and the service it delivers to customers. As a Forces-Friendly employer, VPS actively support service leavers, reservists, and their families through inclusive policies and fair recruitment.
VPS has begun to advocate for the wider force’s communities and started to work with its supply chains and partners, highlighting the benefits of the Employer Recognition Scheme.
