Further to engaging with the GTA, we as a business have been able to expand the apprenticeship opportunities with ease. So often in the past our apprenticeship placements in the North region were predominantly Joiners and Bricklayers, however we are now able to expand out to all other trades inclusive of Administration Support and thus we have been able to produce a really sustainable training schedule on all our projects. At ‘One St Peters Square’ our target for meaningful placements is targeted at 34 and the GTA have provided an Administration and Logistics role. The interview process for the placements was professionally carried out and the placements were prompt.
The real win is that when the project placements near an end, through the GTA there is a huge drive to re locate the apprentice on a similar project within the region enabling the training to be complete.
