No matter what sector your business is in, to meet current demands you must stay up to date with digital and social media trends, especially under current circumstances. A digital apprenticeship could be one of the many ways to upskill your workforce or to consider when taking on a new member of staff. There are currently over 20 digital apprenticeship standards approved for delivery up to level 8 which is equivalent to Masters degree level.

Businesses in Greater Manchester have been urged to use millions of pounds that are available for apprenticeship training as part of a package of support to recover from COVID-19. Up to £4m is currently available in the city region to pay training fees – at no cost to the employing organisation. The call comes after new figures revealed the success of a Greater Manchester scheme to transfer the unspent millions of pounds allocated for apprenticeship training from large employers to small and medium sized businesses. The Greater Manchester apprenticeship levy matchmaking service has supported more than 240 apprenticeships, spread across more than 50 businesses, since it was launched in August 2019.

If a digital apprenticeships aren’t the right path for your business the Skills Support for the Workforce Programme  is a free service, created to help small to medium-sized employers turn their business growth plans into reality by upskilling their existing workforce. They work with employers to identify skills gaps and recommend bespoke training plans which will give their workforce the skills they need to grow the business. They even deliver the training for free!
