In Your Area

Greater Manchester Chamber covers the 10 local districts - Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan - that make up the City Region.

It’s important that the Chamber accurately represents the views of its members and delivers services, events and benefits that deliver real value for money.

To help with this, each area has a group of members that make up a Local Business Group that meet regularly to help with local activity including developing and supporting local businesses, membership services and campaign work.

Each group is led by a Local President with support from Vice-Presidents and Chamber staff.

At a higher level the Chamber has an Assembly made up of representatives from these groups and others that meets quarterly, chaired by Chamber President Robin Philips, and which discusses and agrees on the Chamber’s campaign activity – addressing those issues that impact most on business such as transport, infrastructure, local taxation, business rates, skills and Brexit.

Our local groups and Presidents have a vital role to play in this.

The last 16 months have seen some huge changes in the way that many people do business and the Chamber is now looking to recruit members who want to get more involved and help with the local groups.
