Meet Your Local President: Belinda Beaver

"My name is Belinda Beaver and I have been a Chamber member for six years. I represent the Chamber and Bolton businesses as an active member of the Bolton Vision 2030 Economic Prosperity Group, which has recently launched a brand new procurement portal – Bolton Business Connect - designed to provide one platform for contracts, jobs and supply chain opportunities for local businesses. Also Chair of the Town’s Fund Board, this role has involved bringing together representatives from across the town to bid for a share of government funding, which has recently succeeded in winning an award of £23.9m to regenerate Bolton town centre.

"As Director of Attention to Retail Ltd - which trades as Agitare - I have a vested interest in the opportunities available to grow the town’s prosperity and the individual businesses. We are a hardy bunch and now, more than ever, we will need to be resilient, react to fast-changing environments and collaborate with our fellow business owners if we are going to survive and grow.

"Chamber membership is one of the best things a business can do. It will provide a supportive environment and a plethora of services that suit businesses of all sizes and stages of growth. Networking is one of the quickest ways to grow a support network and the Chamber has plenty to choose from. Bolton is on an upward trajectory over the next few years with massive capital investment both from government and private investors, so there has never been a better time to be part of that picture."
